Please describe your current and past involvement in the Greater New Haven Jewish Community. What inspires your commitment to its ongoing success?

This program will prepare you to take on an expanded leadership role within the community, including but not limited to board/committee service. Why do you want to take on this added responsibility? What do you hope to do with it to improve and/or support the community?

What makes you an ideal candidate for this program? What existing skills and viewpoints will you bring to it? What do you hope to gain from participation?

Commitment Statements

The Emerging Leadership Program (ELP) will consist of eight (8) weeknight sessions on nights as-yet to be determined between December 2021 and May 2022.

The program will culminate in a two-night retreat at Camp Laurelwood on the weekend of May 20-22, 2022.

Can you commit now to participating in the weekend retreat portion?

If you are accepted into the Emerging Leadership Program, upon completion you will be expected to commit to:

serving at least one (1) year on a Federation committee
serving in some capacity with a local agency of their choice
making an impactful pledge to the Annual Campaign, to be solicited upon completion of the program
participating financially in the simulated allocations process/Giving Circle program at the capstone retreat
