jHaven Virtual Tu Bishevat Seder

Join jHaven for a special virtual “seder” to celebrate Tu Bishevat, the Jewish “new year for trees,” and explore its contemporary relevance to our lives and community.

What is a Tu Bishevat seder? It is a Kabbalistic tradition based on the Pesach seder that helps us to explore our connection to the land, to our communities, to the world/each other and to ourselves all through the medium of food, wine and conversation. We will also take this opportunity to explore our community’s responsibilities around issues of environmentalism and sustainability, and ways we can commit to a “greening” our community for the future.

Register by Wednesday, January 20** to receive a FREE gift bag, complete with all the ingredients you’ll need to participate in the seder remotely: two small bottles of kosher wine* (one red, one white), fresh fruits and nuts, a copy of the “haggadah” and some added surprises! Gift bags will be delivered in person (socially distanced and wearing a mask) by Derek Holodak on Sunday, January 24.

For any questions, please contact Derek at [email protected]..

*Or grape juice. Be sure to indicate your choice below.

**Registrations completed after January 20 may still be eligible for a free gift bag, dependent on supplies and availability. Drop-off  for late registrations may occur after Sunday, January 24.
