Pelvic Floor Strengthening . . . More Than Just Kegels!
Tuesday, May 3 | 10:15-11:30 AM
The pelvic floor is a highly vascular, and innervated part of the body with the nerves, muscles and connective tissue working together to provide organ support, bladder & bowel control, contribute to sexual satisfaction and even help to stabilize the spine and pelvis.
Problems may often show up during pregnancy, after childbirth, and simply as we age. They include incontinence, pelvic pain, sexual challenges and back or hip pain which fall into a category called pelvic floor dysfunction.
This workshop will address the pelvic floor musculature as a key part of the inner, deep core. You will learn how to do the kegel exercise correctly, understand the brain/body connection, and receive a plan of gentle, comprehensive exercises to practice regularly.
Small Group Session offered on-site or virtually via Zoom with Susan Donovan, Certified Fitness Professional & Health Coach.
