Georgia Hunter is the author of We Were the Lucky Ones, inspired by a family reunion in 2000 that revealed the wartime stories of her grandfather and his family. In 2008, she began researching this piece of her ancestry, and a decade later the novel was born. The book has been published in twenty languages, reached over a million readers, and was adapted into a Hulu series.
One Good Thing is Georgia’s second novel. Told from the perspective of a young woman navigating a world turned upside-down, it is a coming-of-age story of friendship, motherhood, romance, and survival.
Her essays and photos have appeared in the New York Times Book Review, Travelgirl Magazine, and on Equitrekking.com. She is also a freelance copywriter in adventure travel, crafting materials for outfitters such as Austin Adventures and The Explorer’s Passage.
